Penguins have flights, but they don't use them to fly, they use them to swim. Because penguins feed on fish and to get to them they have to get into the water. Most of them are small shoal fish and squid. Both parents take care of the offspring. The female lays the egg and the male incubates it. The egg is hidden in a fold of skin on her abdomen to prevent it from freezing to death. The male eats nothing during the 60 days of incubation. The females, on the other hand, migrate to the sea after laying the egg in order to get enough food. Only when the little ones have hatched do they return from the sea and replace their breeding partners. In contrast to polar bears, penguins mainly live in the southern hemisphere. The largest number of individuals is found around Antarctica. The PVC-free character from Bullyland is approx. 9.5 cm tall and is hand-painted true to life. Awarded the "spiel gut" seal of approval. Age: from 3 years. ATTENTION: Not suitable for children under 3 years, contains small parts - danger of suffocation!
